Spike: We got a history, him and me. Fred: What? Spike: It was a long time ago. He was a young Watcher, fresh out of the academy when we crossed paths. It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

Wow, just these little hints about Google Wave are blowing my mind. The applications might just be endless.

I can easily see how this could completely surpass all existing online tabletop RPG tools, like Fantasy Grounds. I've signed up for beta info, so I'll hopefully get to see some of it in action soon.

Didja' know that in Firefox, Ctrl+Tab lets you move between tabs? I just found that out.

It just needs to go backward, too.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Is it even worth trying to sell CRT monitors on craigslist, or somesuch? I've got several in my attic that are just gathering dust. My town is having an "Electronics Recycling Event" this weekend, and I'm thinking of just dumping them. Some of the screens are rather large (maybe 26"?). Thoughts?

Yeah, I would recycle them, and honestly your event's a great way to do that because otherwise you might get stuck paying someone to recycle them for you.

And hmm, that's interesting re: Google Wave. Only, I think it's funny to make it where chars are visible as typed. You'll all be able to see my mad typing (and typoing) skillz. Which is to say, I type fast, but inaccurately and am constantly going back to correct. Then I pause and think about what I'm saying before I hit send. Which means that I have a millisecond of edit space even in chat. Which I wouldn't with that option.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

There have been a number of chat protocols/clients over the years that have allowed show-as-you-type. All of them have ended up with an option to turn it off, because it's just so fuckupity and annoying to have to *watch* it...

OTOH, what's new isn't the chat integration so much as the collaboration possibilities.
