Happy Birthday, ita!
I hope you get some cake!
Happy Birthday, ita!
You should also have a steak!
The Buffistas love their ita!
A kravver in our midst!
And if I don't end this poem,
She'll kill me with her fist!

Dana, it may be an embarrassing solution to your car problem, but at least it was a cheap fix. The guy could have easily told you that your framistat needed replacing....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ITA!!!!
My goal of not looking like an idiot was not accomplished, sadly, since the whining noise was being caused by an air cleaner thing we had plugged into the power outlet.
Augh.
I'm still trying to find Indian food. There are a couple of places I could go, but am too tired to walk there. I probably will not resist the siren song of nearby french fries.

I stayed up waaay too late watching Torchwood, and now I am a limp, zombified noodle of sleep-deprivation.

Republicans, still adjusting to their role as the minority party, were irate Wednesday that Democrats were speeding ahead without the minority party's input.
"We are disappointed that half of the Congress is being cut out of the process,'' said Rep. Adam Putnam, R-Fla., who chairs the House Republican Conference. He and other GOP leaders accused Democrats of breaking their promise to voters to be more open and respectful of the minority party's rights in House proceedings.
Speaking of Pelosi, Rep. David Dreier, R-San Dimas (Los Angeles County) said, "I have been very reluctant to say anything critical of my fellow Californian. But when I've seen the reports that have come forward about the plans for this opening day package and the lack of consultation with the minority, I am very disappointed.''
But Republican leaders were grilled by reporters about why they hadn't given Democrats the same rights when the GOP ruled the House for 12 years. Rep. Eric Cantor, a top-ranking Republican from Virginia, admitted that GOP leaders had erred by ignoring Pelosi's call back in 2004 to respect the minority party's rights. "In hindsight, I think she was right," Cantor said.
