Angel: Connor, this is Spike and Illyria. Guys, this is Connor. Connor: Hi. umm...I like your outfit. Illyria: Your body warms. This one is lusting after me. Connor: Oh...no, I--I--it's just that it's the outfit. I guess I've had a thing for older women. Angel: They were supposed to fix that.

Skipping-sigh-and-poking-head to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is shrift's birthday.

Happy birthday, shrift! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

Hey, Kat! Hey, Lee! How are you lovely ladies doing? How is 2007 treating you?

(Yes, I've skipped, so I have no idea how anybody is doing)

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Happy Shrifty Birthday!

Kat, why are you still up?

Still is such a funny word choice.

I fell asleep at ~6:00 PM and slept through to 11:00. Now I'm up (and yawning) and my goal is to get back to sleep before 2 and sleep until 6.

2007 is good, Nilly. Today's ultrasound was good (haven't announced here yet, but yes, you all, I'm pregnant with twins). One twin is slightly bigger than the other. Both are incredibly squirmy. Markers that would show up on a scan for Down's syndrome or spinal bifida were not there. So things look good enough.

This doc is worried about pre-eclampsia, so I'm on baby aspirin to fix blood flow. Mmm... tasty tasty baby aspirin.

So that's my story of the day. That and cleaning. Which reminds me, I have more books to post.

YAY BABIES, and things looking good, and not having to remember it hasn't been officially announced yet.

SQUEEEE

Lee, no, I didn't (I've mentioned the total skipping and the having-no-idea-what's-going-on-ing, right?). Thanks so much for pointing my way!

Those are really lovely pictures. Especially, with what JZ is wearing, and the way she's simply radiating, and the view all around the both of them, some of those pictures seem as if they could be taken a hundred years ago, and still look the same.

haven't announced here yet, but yes, you all, I'm pregnant with twins

What a lovely way for me to start the posting of 2007. Why, yes, even your pregnancy and twins and health are all about meMeME.

Oh, that's good to read. When's the next test due?

Well, today's test was with a fetal specialist. Can I just say the ultra high resolution ultrasound is FUN? My first doctor through this process had a pretty high resolution sono machine, and my current OB has a very low res one. This one though? Teh Awesome.

Anyhow, I go into my OB tomorow. Then back to fetal specialist at the end of the month.

I keep thinking of Metaphors by Sylvia Plath, which is a favorite of mine. And the whole idea of this experience as being a train I have no control over, where I'm just along for the ride, is so very much how I feel. People just tell me go here and I show up.
