Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You know, last night I had a falling-asleep twitch event, except I wasn't stepping off the curb in my dream like I ususally do -- I heard a doorbell. Not mine; I don't have one. It was a really clear "DING-dong!" that woke me right up. I was pissed.

I used to be woken up by knocking (three knocks) as I was falling asleep. Every night for a couple of years. My roommates thought I was crazy when it first started happening because I was always checking the door.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

At first I thought that would be info about me getting someone into my bed. Clever wikipedia!

But that's all about sleeping and near sleep. I just twitch. More when I'm lying down, but I twitch. Oh, maybe I could get that profane Tourette's. That's be...wait, no, not cool.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It was really fucking annoying. At least I didn't have to get up, though. I just had to wake up enough to remember that I really don't have a doorbell that sounds like that.

I've been known to twitch while I'm awake. For a variety of reasons.

Twitching is one of the symptoms that I've spent too much time with my relatives.

So the slounging sort of smooths out the wrinkles?

As far as I can tell! When you're slounging, you can make a lot of movements seem like you meant to do that. Like a cat. And maybe slounging does help with all kinds of wrinkles, because I'm still getting carded like a high schooler.

Not at the moment, really! Right now I'm mostly twitchy from work boredom.

After a while, I'd jsut hear the knocks and half wake up and think, "There's the knocking." and fall asleep. One of my friends thought I was totally having a psychotic break, since I was so accepting of it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

shrift, have you read the latest f_w explosion about those people who were deeply obnoxious during a HP gift exchange?
