omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Where are our flying cars, dammit?

FAA is in cahoots with the big 3 in Detroit, and they are being bribed by the asphalt manufacturers. It's a big conspiracy I tell ya!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yes -- when I was on Atkins, I had an egg and bacon every day for breakfast. And I figured out it's fewer calories than the bread and cheese I have the rest of the time, and way more filling.

Man, I should go back to that breakfast.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I couldn't do it last night, so tonight I'm experimenting with gimlets. The simple syrup/lime juice recipe has not been tasted, but making simple syrup and juicing limes is kind of a pain already. Drinking the drink with Rose's now; delicious as usual. (Vodka/plain lime juice is not part of the experiment.)

That is a yummy breakfast.

ETA: Er, Jesse's breakfast. Not that a gimlet for breakfast is necessarily not a yummy breakfast.

Our wings are not tired.

Diets do indeed suck. No bacon for me. Blood work says there will be less fat in my immediate future. For those of you that chose low-carb all your fruit belongs to me and you can have my bacon.

So, I'm reminded about the one thing I don't like about How I Met Your Mother: their mocking of Pat Kiernan and "In The Papers" via Alexis Denisof.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

bon bon, you are cracking me up, because today you are just en fuego. So far in 2007 you are one of my favorite people.

( Vodka/plain lime juice is not part of the experiment.)

What, you won't turn your face inside out for us? Where's your heart?

(disclaimer: I used to eat lemons and limes as a small child. Still like them in moderation, but just that. Moderation.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Vodka/plain lime juice is not part of the experiment

Can we consider it canonical, then?

You've tangentially reminded me I need to go back to stocking simple syrup in the fridge.

I watched that for the first time tonight. I was put off by the mockage, but if it was really a Pat Kiernan type, how could Robin ditch him for that cold fish Ted? Still doesn't excuse making jokes about the existence of Today's Papers, the finest news innovation since Doppler 2 million.

You know, I don't even watch Today's Papers when someone else is doing it. It's not the same without Pat!
