Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Here's to you, Gus.
Yes.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Somali Bantu, as I recall, so you're both right. I do love that picture - David's right on, but didn't mention the charm and humor that were so right there.

Always Anti-fascist!

And he was a Wirefiend's Wirefiend. We used to talk about all the time...I was waiting for his thoughts on the finale, in fact. I'm sorry we won't share that again.(even if he didn't think "Who's Hot?" worthy Wire chat.) I'm glad I was home sometimes to swap McNulty chat with him in the hospital, sometimes. He gave us points for including Lester Freamon on the Hottie List, though.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

and the fact that more than one of us crushed on him, until he went and told us his age... and then we crushed on behalf of our mothers... and then he went and fell in love without us. the nerve!

Always Anti-fascist!

Yeah, but he still had some blarney for all of us, anyway. No wonder he was a McNulty fan!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Back to back Gus COMMs from January of last year.

Gus: Religion. Politics. There is maxim about avoiding these subjects in conversation. For true helter-skelter you need to get science fiction into the mix.

tommyrot: ::cancels plans to discuss President Jesus: Time-traveling Alien with people I don't know well::

Gus: Everyone dies alone. This cheery message was brought to you by the League of Evil Posters.

erikaj: unless you take somebody down with you...

It's always a comfort that as dark as any of us can get Erika can always get a little darker.
