I remember somebody trying to explain to me why newer flavors of Christian would by any gargantuan stretch of logic believe they could legislate older flavors of same out of the big icebox of Christianity, but, it wasn't successful.
Every now and then, just to tweak my now evangelical Christian sister, I like to remind her that she was raised Catholic. I don't think she gets it.

Yes, but I think on the whole Mormons peg higher on the "they're probably inspired by Satan and they want your children" meter of the weirdos. Anglicans officially consider Mormons heretical.
I can see the reaction again Mormonism, because it does have some odd underpinnings, but what is the big complaint about Catholics? The officials have better hats and cooler clothes than the conservative ranters?

Gore has pretty much said he's not going to run in 2008. Edwards is probably my pick right now. I like Obama, but I want him to get some more seasoning.
And yeah, McCain lost any respect I might have had for him.
