Except it only plummeted yesterday

see. We are the heat misers. When we leave, it gets cold. Though, honestly, I am thinking the snow storms in Santa Fe (highs of 31) will beat my heat miserly powers.

For anyone who reads Lulu Eightball... Emily Flake moved to warmer climes for winter. Her blog is as funny as expected, including this entry about a drink called American Cob.

What would happen if you stuck a clown in a blender? And maybe added some cotton candy, circus peanuts, and the wails of frightened children? Probably something like this.

Fun to read about other's adventures.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It's the first day of my vacation. Nonetheless, I'm up before 7, which was good because ::tada!:: I got the garbage out. And fed the cats, too, which was very important in their worldview. Now I have to plan my shopping strategy... like deciding on what gifts to get/give people....

I've tagged Owen.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Bah -- my officemate gave me cookies today (TOOOOOKIE!!!), but the gift card I bought her last night is still in my house. Oops. Now it looks like I only got her something after she did!

Ann, that's a ferret.

Catching up on the overnights:

Who are OKGO?

OK Go is best known for the video for "There It Goes Again," which features the band running around on a set of treadmills. If they give awards for choreography in music videos, this one should win a few.

My brother is pro-gift cards.

I like gift cards that show some awareness of shopping patterns. (Example: Giving me a card for a bookstore, fine. For Home Depot, I'll scratch my head. A generic Visa card shows laziness.)

But make sure you give the packaging along with the card. And read the disclosures! (Warning: pdf file.)

INot-XmasN, I just saw this posted in a blog--it's an anti-war song that's 2 1/2 years old, but still (unfortunately) as relevant as ever.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

OK Go is best known for the video for "There It Goes Again," which features the band running around on a set of treadmills.

Or, if you're me, the songs "Get Over It," "You're So Damn Hot," and "What to Do."

Aww. It's Holli's birthday today.
