That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

brenda, that is way cool!!! Yesterday I got a shot in my ass. While that has its perks, its no where near what you did.

Yay on the bonus and new ipod, Consuela!! And the possible new job!!

I am chilled. Or tipsy. Either way.

Niiiiice.

I'm home and in my pj's and just ate some chili that I had cooking in the crock pot all day. Yum.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

ION, because I was shocked that some of the people I was with earlier were not aware of these things, I will share them with you people as well:

Just for your FYI.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Brenda, that looks like so much fun. Go you!

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

And then discovered that I don't look good with the grey grown out, and colored it dark again.

But there are pictures, right? Aw, come on.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

That's so cool, Brenda.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

You know, I don't think there are. It was just dull. Not enough white, not enough dark. Just dull.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

mac is exerting independence in a BIG way. and while I am happy because 1) I am big on independence. 2) it means he feels comfortable enough to act out. 3) It is normal. I am also just a wee exhausted from being told no to everything and having a pouty mc pouterspants every 10 minutes or so. Tonight he refused to eat either of the two things I had made for dinner (one of which was his direct choice earlier in the day)and only had a banana.

In order to get anything really done around the house I am getting up after he falls asleep (and I do too for a bit) and doing housework, life stuff for 2-3 hours. I started an LJ post this morning and am still not finished with it.

Cute news - he is singing a totally butchered version of Bear Necessities on his own after 2 viewings of The Jungle Book. It is THE CUTE.

Art Crawl!!!

Great. I just checked Amazon tracking for a package that I thought would arrive today and USPS says that they attempted delivery and left notice twice TODAY. I have not received even ONE notice. What is up with that?

Should I just leave a note for the mailman to leave it on my doorstep?

Because books.

Go, brenda! You are a total rock star.

Aw. It really is a good thing, especially #2, but part of it is being five. And probably being five in a whole new world, with all sorts of temptations and new wonderful things to touch and eat and see. And not being able to sass fluently probably results in more pouting, too.

I can't wait to hear about your first Christmas together, though. And I still have to put those books in the mail to you -- it may be after the holidays at this rate, though.

ION, the velociraptors chasing the baby Jesus was the funniest thing EVER. And the Shirley Temple version of A Little Princess is the lamest thing ever, especially if you adore the book and pretty much know it by heart.
