A heartwarming story of a holiday miracle: (radio piece, this is just a page with a link to a mp3): [link]

It's maybe 10 minutes long, tops, but the ending...oh the ending. Wedgie!

Now tagless for your comfort.

And I have Jilli to thank for it--with the Seche Vite she recommended not only does a manicure look tidy longer, it's faster to do.

Please for to link, ita? As cheap as manicures are, I have to do my own until my nasty, bitten nails are decent enough to present to a professional and it helps them to grow if I keep them groomed.

Besides, it's difficult for me to get out without the kids to get one and I can always do my own when they're in bed for the night.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Seche Vite. It's a top coat that goes on while your polish is still wet (ergo speed), and it speeds up the drying (ergo speed) and makes the polish shiny and long-lasting.

The other day when I lost an entire nail's worth of polish? I chalk the one-piece removal to Seche Vite.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Thanks, ita--and by extension, Jilli. Anything that can make polish dry faster and last longer will help me, immeasurably.

Man, I'm restless. Have done the couple of things I outlined for today and can't really do more. I could dye my hair, but that might foul up the clear coat on my nails.

Gnarg. It's the sort of mood best burnt off with company and that isn't happening.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

What the hell did they make Sky Dancer out of, adamantium?

I remember that thing. The wings were made of soft foam, like the same stuff on those electric fans on water spray bottles. I can see how, spinning fast, they might cause some eye damage, but I have no idea how they could break bone.
