Santa Fe!

That is the coolest T-Bone Burnett story (who is awesome, btw). I was about to ask you, Hec, if that were the Sam Phillips who used to be Leslie Phillips in the Christian music world, but I googled and indeed it is. She is talented. I didn't know she married Burnett.

Yeah, she's really had an interesting career arc (including being a vicious German terrorist in a Die Hard movie). She writes some very lovely Beatlesque melodies and very tart lyrics. I discovered her through her song "Holding On To the Earth" from the movie Ruby in Paradise (Ashley Judd's first starring role, when she was a teen.)

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Kat, are you driving 40 across? 'Cause even if we don't make it to Santa Fe, you'll be driving about an hour north of us. We should totally hook up either way. Have you been to the Petrified Forest/Painted Desert? Do I already know the answer to this question? I can't remember.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Um. Excuse me while I xpost this...

Apparently, my book is available for preorder at Walmart and Books-a-million.

Which is odd, because I'm still editing it.

Um. I wrote a book. And it's for sale. At Walmart.

I need to go have a heart attack.
