If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That sounds fabulous! In fact, they should film it and show it every...oh, right.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

That movie is GREAT and they should show it every Christmas!

Sounds like somebody put acid in the egg nog.

I'm amazed the Mexican SANTA CLAUS movie that MST did one year didn't make the list. I heard that used to get pulled out every Xmas for several years there during the 60s.

And now I want to hear "Let's All Have a Patrick Swayze X-mas". I think that was during ...CONQUERS THE MARTIANS, though.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Last week was something called "Quatermass II: Invasion from Space", some '50s British thing where they used a new Shell oil plant as the set (according to the note at the end). I'm wondering what the first Quatermass (spelled correctly) was like that they thought it was worth making a sequel.

Well, they were no budget movies, but the Quatermass films (which were based on a TV series) were smartly scripted (not unlike DR. WHO, though not kid oriented). 20,000,000 YEARS TO EARTH is a really cool movie, but I think it had a much more generous budget.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

That movie is GREAT and they should show it every Christmas!

It's also got Richard Mulligan! Pre-Bill-and-Ted!Keanu! Drew doesn't look that stoned! And all the Mother Goose references. So awesome.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I dicovered last night that Memphis' lone Long John Silver's is in an area of town I really don't ever want to drive through again.

I just realized this morning why the Brown's Chicken nearest my apartment doesn't have a bigger sign and is tucked away into a strip mall, as opposed to a stand-alone building like every other one in the chain. It's in Palatine. Back in 1993, seven people were killed in the old Palatine Brown's (which was a stand-alone), and the murder suspects have been awaiting trial for 4 1/2 years. A strange revelation to have while listening to the radio news as you're getting into the shower.

Oh Kathy A, I finally saw the commercial that your tagline is from. Brilliant. (The guy who said it was German, right?)

For posterity:

Never question Mr. Nibbles!!

I thought he was British, but he could have been more Teutonic. FYI for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, it's from the Staples commercial with the reindeer, the aforementioned "Mr. Nibbles." It's hilarious! I first saw it during the football games on Sunday, and have seen it a few times since, and giggle every time.
