Because books.

So sad. He's my editor's uncle, so I've always been allowed to call him "Uncle Pete" (not that I've ever met the man). He's been ill for a while.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

He's been ill for a while.

Yeah, the last couple of years on Everybody Loves Raymond, he didn't look so hot. Even less so on some ad or PSA he did with Doris Roberts that I was seeing over the last couple of years.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

So sad to hear that he's gone.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

"Just like Gary Cooper"
"Oooper Dooper!!!"

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

"Oooper Dooper!!!"

Waaaahhh! So sad.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Damn it, David. And I thought it would be thinking of the Big Bopper and Buddy Holly that broke me.

brenda m - Dec 13, 2006 8:42:16 am PST #5955 of 10007
If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, that is sad.

He had a good ride.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

That's it, dammit. Going to need to re-watch YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN. It'll make me cry (not that it hasn't before - PB's big speech at the end when the villagers charge in always makes me sniffly).
