"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Mmm, macchiato.

Perhaps in front of BSG, as precedent has been set.

Hey, it worked for me! In fact, I'm about to go try it again.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Gronk.

Went to bed early last night. Did not go right to sleep, which was good, because otherwise the cops pounding at my door a half hour later might have been even more alarming.

Actually, the sequence was more

Furious barking then cops pounding then more furious barking.

They had a report of screaming coming from an apartment on my floor. And wanted to know if this was the Blair residence. Ho-kay.

Me: "No, I haven't heard a thing. And she would've..."

glances at still grumbling dog, trails off

Cop: Laughs. "Yeah, I was kind of figuring."

Anyway, it was cute. As was he. Me, not so much, but next time I fall into bed at 9 o'clock I'll try to remember to put on something nicer.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm writing about Chaucer's take on social unrest and poverty/peasantry, particularly in light of the 1381 Peasant Revolts that he more than likely witnessed at very close range. It's more a social Chaucer than a deeply textual analysis.

I really love buffistas' spicy brains.

I have no macchiato. Everything tastes like acid today--coffee, tea, diet coke. I just opted for some chocolate milk.

What is even happening?

Are you feeling any better today, Cashmere? Has the shot kicked in?

That would have been so much more interesting. Almost makes me want to read Chaucer again. Almost.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

You can always just watch A Knight's Tale again....

I am feeling better. Practically pain free. My folks are coming over tonight to visit and help with the kids so I can continue to take it easy. This injection needs to last at least six months or I fear the alternate options.

Glad that you're feeling better Cashmere -- I hope the acidy taste goes away.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

OH, good, Cash. I'm glad you're getting some relief.
