I just said that you're pretty. Even when you're covered in...engine grease, you're... No, especially, especially when you're covered in engine grease.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I blew my shoe budget for the year this summer. And by "blew" I mean I might have gone temporarily insane with the unemployed retail therapy.

It's okay. I can wait. January will be here before I know it.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I would like steak!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Thanks, y'all! The steak thing seems like a "cashmere socks" type present, but it's good to hear that other people would like it.

I haven't done a damn thing at work today. I've read a lot of mail (electronic and otherwise), but that's about it. And I'm leaving shortly, because who cares.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Seriously, if you were a 30ish married couple, would you think steak was a weird present or an awesome one?

Weird if you're a vegetarian, otherwise good, but awesome if you're a foodie or love the grill.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I've given steak as a present to Kat, and she and Lori seemed to like it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I think that steak is an awesome gift, but have the vague impression that I've heard Omaha Steaks aren't actually that great. (I want to say ATK did a mail-order steak taste test, but I really don't remember.)

Yeah, no vegetarians in my family, which I think is kind of weird in itself. There were 18 people at Thanksgiving, mostly not my actual relatives, but all meat eaters.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

You could always do a fruit of the month thing from Harry and David. Joe and I got that one year and it was FABOO.

I guess that's not all that surprising, really, what with the mass-market-ness of it all. Maybe I'll look into it further.

Thanks!
