Zoe: Nobody's saying that, sir. Wash: Yeah, we're pretty much just giving each other significant glances and laughing incessantly.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I hate that guy.

Me too.

Kat, my dad did his thesis on Chaucer. Loves the stuff. I like it, but love it? Not so much. I did memorize the Prologue in Middle English for one of my undergrad classes, though, which is useful only so far as it baffles high school students.

Thanks for the offer, Kristin. I need the kind of help that's a high-paying job on the west side. Got any? I'm about to become less picky.

Ummm....Unless I can talk my school into starting a krav class, I got nothin'. Dammit.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I know the first 18 lines of the prologue (as do my students!) and the prologue for chaucer's troilus. Oof. I should go work on my paper.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

2 good things about today.

1) my brand new iPod which was Not SO Much with the working all day (grey face, would not reset), snapped to when I plugged it in to the iBook.

2) I just found $95 in my paypal account that I had forgotten to wire to my checking account. RAWK!

Oh, House is going to do something wonderfully awful. And if anyone thinks that's a spoiler, they don't know House.

hip deep in pie

People keep saying that Sue. And i understand what you mean. But seriously? It's all a mystery.

Seriously, I remember in the beginning having about 50 pages to read for class. And it was taking about 20 minutes to get through a page with having to look up every frickin word. But towards the end, I could almost read it as were normal English.

For some reason, Gawain and the Green Knight was totally incomprehensible to me. I gave up and got a modern translation.

At the grocery store the package of meatless chicken shish kabobs looked enticing, but previous experience with tofu convinces me that chicken-flavored marshmallows are not a dish I'll enjoy.

I bought TGI Friday's spinach dip, but no chips to eat with it.

Vegetable buying went well anyway.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I bought TGI Friday's spinach dip, but no chips to eat with it.

Oh, that goes good on crackers, bread or veggies just fine, too. Or in case of an emergency--eaten with a spoon.

Um...not that I would know about that or anything.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Also, duh, I could learn how to make miso soup, which I love and would totally eat.

1. Heat water

2. Add a Tablespoon or two of miso paste

3. Stir
