Ah. I missed that, somehow.
Whoa...four hours in one night. You fell *hard* bunk. Wire crack is actually crack, though. Welcome to the fiending hordes.
No knead bread is out of the oven. Crunchy crisp outer layer, chewy spongy inside. didn't rise as much as I would like, that just means lots of little sandwiches, and more rising time for the dough next time. They say 12 hours is find. I did about 14. Next time, I'm going to do the full 18.
Just like grandma used to make....or not.
The word that comes to mind is...extruded.

You're not wrong. It's best to not think about it.

I have, now. I always forget and think that little box is just some funky thing my browser is doing. Also, I was already descending into a spiral of empathy-induced self pity, inspired by the caption, "Note the lack of green bean casserole," beneath the picture. I can't eat that any more, because I can't tolerate MSG. To add insult to injury, my mother made CANNED green beans, because she said, "The kids don't like the fresh."
The kids don't like many vegetables, mum. I, on the other hand, love vegetables, and we never have canned vegetables at Thanksgiving, except the Niblets, which we added for the kids (who do like them; whereas they tolerate canned green beans). Also, she made the wrong squash.
But our turkey was an actually acceptable ritual sacrifice (i.e. it wouldn't have gotten gotten Cain-spurned), so there's that.

Yeah, self control is not my strong suit.

Vortex, is there a recipe for this bread, online?
