Dawn: I thought you were adequate. Giles: And the accolades keep pouring in. I'd best take my leave before my head swells any larger. Good night.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Bah. Just had my car jump-started. Three times. Finally decided that the battery was not taking a charge, so I borrowed the work car, bought a new battery and installed it, moved my car out of metered parking and then came back to work.

Am wondering if the alternator is iffy too... because if it is, I should rent a car to take to my parents. Do I take a gamble? Or spend $220 for peace of mind?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Oh, and let me add my "Yay!s" for msbelle and Mac!!

And my "Boo!s" to Lee's stomach flu--I got a nasty dose of that years back from my cousin's baby at Thanksgiving dinner (it showed up while I was working at the bookstore on Friday, and since I was the manager in charge, I had to stay to close even though I was heaving my guts out all night and then come back to work the next two days--worst Thanksgiving weekend ever!).

In a follow-up to the Macy's adoptable cats and dogs in SF story from yesterday, a story on the adopting going on.

Hey Kat, can I borrow one of your small handbags for schlepping this afternoon?

Did you know that the plastic pink flamingo factory is going out of business? So sad.

edit: and would my family please answer their emails? They've had a whole 4 hours! (I know, I know, they don't check that often. But I want to know my mom is well enough to travel today!)
