"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Having a fully stocked pantry instead of just having ramien and easy mac in the pantry and learning how to cook feels like a step toward adulthood for me, but I don't feel like an adult.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Becoming an adult was a gradual process, as I lived with my folks until I was 23 but started paying my own way at 18. A big benchmark for me was choosing a place to live based on location and amenities rather than which one of my friends had an extra bedroom. Also, painting walls in an apartment to put my stamp on it was fairly major.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

What trappings define adulthood for you guys?

I suppose owning a house and paying for its upkeep *should* make me feel like an adult.

Going to a job that I often can't stand because if I didn't, we'd be out in the street.

Bingo. That would be it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This is really stupid, but I always feel like an adult when I'm traveling, and (a) get off the plane (/bus/whatever) in a place where I don't live, and make my own way to where I'm going, or (b) get off the plane (/bus/whatever) in the place where I do live, make my own way home, let myself in, get the mail, etc.

I think everyone in Natter should mail a spoon to Jesse

BUT THEN THEY WOULDN'T MATCH!!

Because it really is all about you.

Even if I really wish it wasn't?
