I'm really amazed the publisher isn't going to sell the books
I'm expecting to see the OJ books on eBay. I'm too lazy to track down the link I saw, but apparently the publisher had the "high-minded" idea of making OJ confess with this deal, plus it "allowed her to resolve her own lingering issues from having been a victim of crime herself."
Bah. And gah.

One in four people is what scientists call a supertaster, born with extra taste buds. "They live in a neon taste world," as Bartoshuk puts it.
They find some vegetables horribly bitter, and hate the texture. They get more burn from chili peppers, and perceive more sweetness than other people. Nor do they care for fat. They tend to be skinny because they're such picky eaters.
Hah! Vindication! But not skinny, because I pig out on what I do like.
Are you among the "supertasters," people who shun vegetables because they find them more bitter than the average person does? Supertasters may be more at risk of developing colon cancer as a result, says a recent University of Connecticut study.
Oh dear.
I also can't eat kernel corn or minimally processed tomatoes, because the acids burn me. Literally, I get little blisters in my mouth from eating raw tomatoes. Plus they taste icky. But give me that tomato sauce, mmmm.
A friend's uncle was born with no sense of taste whatsoever. He ended up killing himself. (Dunno if that's why....)
bon bon and msbell - according to wikipedia, this
Bond book was published in 1999. But was not written by Ian Flemming
.
Oh, that's such bullshit! A
non-Fleming, non-movie Bond title??
Seriously.
ION, I'm about to have an enormous fit, as USAir claims I don't actually have a reservation on my flight tonight.
Agreed with Jesse, but thanks Suzi!
OK, phew. They found my reservation. Now I'm just pissed off they gave me an aisle seat and no chance to change it. I'm a frequent flyer! They know I like the window!! Ah well.
Look, a non-puzzle post!
Brooke Shields is on Paxil, not Prozac. Also, my own theory is this: Given the timing (Brook having her second child the same day in the same hospital as Katie having Suri, then the mysterious absence of the new baby and mother for MONTHS, then the announcement of a sincere apology from Tom, in person, to Brooke) makes me suspect that Katie may have suffered from PPD and Tom, realizing he was a giant fucktard, sought a little help from Brooke in dealing with the problem. Then Brooke was invited to the wedding (where she looked FABULOUS).
At least that is what happened in the perfect world in my head.
