Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I had to google "bear-baiting"....

A variation involved other animals being baited, especially bulls, but also, on one curious occasion, a pony with an ape tied to its back was baited: a spectator described that "...with the screaming of the ape, beholding the curs hanging from the ears and neck of the pony, is very laughable".

Um... huh?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ok, who has the top right corner square filled in?

Do you mean top left? Because the top right doesn't have a two-word phrase in the middle. Of course, I don't have the top left still, either.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The square on the bottom row four squares over doesn't connect to the square to the left of it. Which is quite plainly unfair. The square five over four down is driving me crazy.

I was just coming here to post that some Fox outlets were boycotting the OJ thing, but not so important now. Actually, no. It's good to know some of the smaller fish were willing to take a stand.

So to speak.

Fox affiliates owned by Lin Broadcasting, Pappas Broadcasting, and Prime Cities Broadcasting have announced they will not air the network's interview with O.J. Simpson on November 27 and 29. John Tupper, chairman-emeritus of the Fox affiliate board and head of North-Dakota-based Prime Cities, called the interview "unsuitable" for broadcasting. Fox declined to comment about the station pull-out, which Broadcasting & Cable predicted would escalate prior to the actual broadcast dates. Meanwhile the Borders bookstore chain announced Sunday that it expects Simpson's upcoming book, If I Did It, to have strong sales but will donate any profits it receives from it to a charity benefiting victims of domestic violence.

What is even happening?

Okay, karma connects to Buddhism, Hinduism, Karma Police, and what? I've tried a bunch of stuff, but I can't get that one.

What is even happening?

Nevermind. I got it. I remember reading the white font. I don't *get* it, but I *got* it.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Cindy, that's one's a toughie. Remember one of the most divisive lightbulb issues, regarding social capital and website communities? It's related, I guess. Though I would never have gotten it on my own.
