Because books.

Laga, I can't get that three-letter word, either.

Below farmer is ... think of what kind of animal a farmer is.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I have 6 boxes visible now, but I'm feeling compelled to finish the farm first. (And not just because I've already used up all the magician words I can think of. Okay, partly that.)

What's the three-letter word connected only to chicken?

Amyliz, Laga, for the word connecting chicken, rooster, and egg, think of what might be missing from that equation. (Chicken branches out into "rooster" and...)

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

We had our big Thanksgiving feast last Monday, I guess because a lot of people are off this week (including cafeteria staff--only pre-made sandwiches are going to be available so they can shut down that part of the cafe line). They're doing pork loin today (blah!), so I'll be having either grilled cheese or a salad instead.

If I dig a hole straight down from our apartment, I end up deeeeeeeep in the Indian Ocean, quite a ways southeast off the coast of Madagascar. Very far from the coast. In fact, the closest geagraphical feature is an oceanic trench.
