For the second time this year, someone at work is circulating a sympathy card for the death of someone's pet. I totally appreciate the sentiment, and I will be very sad when my cats die. I love kitties, but this is too much, even for me.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Poor cat-hating Hec.

It's not like I made him listen to it. I mean, I could have said, "There's this amazing rare live bootleg Tom Waits recording - it's at the end of this cat podcast. No, you gotta listen to the whole thing or you'll miss it."

How do UKians and Canadians deal with the minorly-intelligent drawback of heavy change instead of dollar bills? Women have purses, but most men I know only keep stuff in their pockets.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Why do Americans hate dollar coins?

It's this:

"As long as we have the paper currency out there, dollar coins will never be successful," Gillis said. "We're going to have to discard the $1 bill or mass produce so many of these coins so they'll be out there at retailers."

They've got to phase out the dollar bills before the coins will really catch on. Most people will always choose what they're used to over the new thing.

I guess you start spending when your pockets get heavy. Also, because there are two dollar coins in regular circulation, you don't end up with a tonne of singles.

I'm getting the pig!

Anyone want to help a girl out with the two-word answers linked to cow? I'm drawing a blank, and getting cranky.

Nevermind. Jesse's too quick for me.

Now tagless for your comfort.

The only drawback is that there aren't any wallets that are really perfect for a lot of heavy change.

it could bring back the change purse

You people are crack pushers. I am so weak.

I don't want the dollar coins. They're too heavy to carry around, and an excuse for the vending machine owners to raise the price of everything to a buck.

ION, everyone's too fast for me, with the helping of the AmyLiz.
