Happy birthday MM!
Inspired by Aimee, I have now cut, pinned and made pleats on this [link] skirt in blue chinese silk brocade. And am beginning to layout this [link] shirt in white shantung. I cannot wait to get to the actual machine sewing part. Mr. Jane's boss gave me this [link] a while back. It's built into a cabinet with a built in bench, and all kinds of presser feet for embroidery and making ruffles.
In non-sewing news, my movie debut is Tuesday. It's a teeny tiny part in an amature movie, but I'll be up on the big screen at the bar. I'll link to the movie as soon as director boy puts it up.
In non-sewing or movie news, I got pictures from my cousin of my little cherub (her son). Not that buffistas are ever lacking for kids that make ovaries wail for lack of producing such adorable offspring, but I have to share. [link] In front of their house in New Orleans.

I'm getting nothing but error messages for your photos, DJ!
Happiest of days, MM.
I'm getting nothing but error messages for your photos, DJ!
That's because I'm a jackass and forgot to make them public.
All better now. Click away for the cuteness.
Cutiehead in Saints garb, yay!
Cherub is an accurate description!
He even knows how to say "Who dat!?!"
Aww! How old is the cutiehead?
He's almost 2. Football prodigy, I'm telling you. K already has his future as a kicker for the Saints all planned out.
She was the one who practically lived down at the lake with me. She was living in Seattle for a while after cherub was born, but went down to see the grand parents (can't remember what holiday or whether it was Grandaddy's birthday), when Grandaddy took her aside and told her that life was too short not to be happy, the second she got back up there she told T (baby-daddy) nearly the same thing Grandaddy told Mimi years ago, "I'm moving back to New Orleans, you're welcome to come."
