[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

Daniel, condolences on your loss.

I hope you understand when I throw in a bonus "WTF" for the extremely late notice. Because, really, WTF?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Thanks, It really hasn't hit me yet, I don't think. I kind of lost track of him. He may have been living in Washington, I know he and his wife moved from Las Vegas after many years to Canada, then back to las Vegas, then ...Argh.

Anyway. Mom is doing fine. She will not be attending a funeral she had been planning to go to tomorrow for obvious reasons.

She is holding up, though. His death hasn't hit her quite yet, either.

Ihave a very eveil dentist appointment tomorrow in the am - that I decided to use a sick day for ... almost glad I am going to the eveil dentist appointment... I think I am going to bed now.

Daniel, I'm so sorry for your family's loss.

Hivemind? My friend's wife is turning 50 soon, and he pretty much sucks at gifts and occasions. So he asked me to suggest some things for a 50th. He'd thought of a cruise or jewelry. I suggested a long weekend at a spa/resort type place or a new car. Any good ideas? What was a successful age 50 present for a woman you know?

Parameters: They make decent money, so that's not really a limiter, but any time she isn't working she isn't getting paid, so the cruise idea is a double whammy, financially. They have 2 kids who aren't old enough to be left on their own at all, but if it's an all-family thing, the birthday mother will not relax.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

We threw a fancy-schmancy surprise dinner party for my stepmom when she turned 50. Rounded up old friends, rounded up old pictures and did a slideshow thingie...
