'Objects In Space'

Spike's Bitches 33: Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Go, Empress! That dress is going to look fabulous on you. I love the colors.

Definitely get the purse Jilli.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Lee, you are BRILLIANT! Puppycat is dazed, confused and mostly upside down right now. Thank you!

Jilli, two years means it's not as impractical as you claim. Gets it.

ION, Mal has added two more words to his repertoire: "Boom!" (verbal) and "dolphin" (sign). These, thankfully, are not used together.
Explosives expert in training! Which? Yeah, terrifying.

Matilda shrieking the entire time, with a betrayed expression and tears rolling down her cheeks. After the removal of the last of the goo, she looked startled, then beamed, then collapsed and is now sleeping a peaceful, non-wheezy, non-labored sleep for the first time in two days.
See Matilda? Mommy knows best.

Man, I'm two ticks away from waiting for David's dad to get here, then bundling her into Bev's dress and dunking her in the kitchen sink.
I found out way after the fact that my MiL had given Ben an "emergency" RC baptism, by herself, at home, when we hadn't had him baptized yet. I didn't know whether to feel sad or touched or incredibly angry.
We suspect that my maternal grandma took me to be dunked all Catholicy-like. I don't think it took.

Given my mother isn't Catholic and my father isn't even a lapsed Catholic? They weren't touched. Did suspect she might be though.

Why must I be this way? His family EXPECTS it. This is what Greek culture IS ALL ABOUT. They won't UNDERSTAND. He knows, just knows, that in years to come I'll look back on this and suffer TERRIBLE REGRET that I didn't do it differently.
It's not just Greek culture. It's just ... people are different. Frankly, everything that I have done small or done the way I want? Never regretted it for a second.

I had never heard of the My Flat in London purses before Jilli's post; I love this one.

I stopped on my way home and got Miss. Kitty a crack pad. Lee, you should get a bonus from that company. I have never seen our cat play like that.

She has forsaken it already though because the dog figured out pretty quickly that if he hangs out by the crack pad the cat will come to him! Guess the pad will need to go upstairs where the dog fears to tread.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I found out way after the fact that my MiL had given Ben an "emergency" RC baptism, by herself, at home, when we hadn't had him baptized yet.

When I first read this, I saw the "RC" and thought, "What, they couldn't afford Pepsi?"

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I need to buy this kitty crack pad. I have a 2 year old kitty who is acting very bored lately...

Because books.

I'm beginning to wish I had a kitty crack pad for *me*.

HEE!

You should get one, GC. Definitely. The best thing about them is that you can always add new cat nip, and the fun starts all over again.
