And I wonder, what possible catastrophe came crashing down from heaven and brought this dashing stranger to tears?

::sneaks into thread::

I have escaped my moving box infested apartment to a cafe for a few minutes. Shhhhhh, don't tell my DH!

Sparky, when will you be here? I'm volunteering to bring over some food on moving day (I'd invite you over, but a) my apartment is a closet and b) the last thing that you want to do when you move is go somewhere)

Vortex, you are fabulous and beautiful. I think we'll be there the week of February 4th. Our mover can't be more exact than that until they know where we are on the truck, but we'll have better information when they load us. We're just doing a lot of stuff this week because there are no students yet at my U., and it was a good week for my DH to be absent from his place of employment.

I think I do have your cell, but if I can't find it I can ask.

Drat, I think I may have to go back to the boxes... my DH will be wondering what happened to make my short escape into a longer one.

Hrm, Bill has game-fu.

Bill knows that the people who produce Fluxx live two streets over from him. I sometimes see them when I go the post office.

Anyone need autographed or special cards?

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Okay, time for a completely frivolous fashion question!

Say there's this handbag you've been squee-ing delightedly over for, oh, two years or so. Not only is it kinda pricy, but it's unabashedly frivolous and kinda impractacal, because it's made of cotton-candy pink faux fur. Since the hypothetical you has been looking at pictures of it for two years, should you just give in, save your pennies, and buy it no matter how impractical? Or should you try and be a practical and non-frivolous sort of person for once in your life?

(And yes, the hypothetical handbag would make Pete roll his eyes forever and ever.)

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Two years, you say?

Buy it.

Also? Cotton-candy pink faux fur is NEVER impractical for you, Jilliest of Jillis.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm with Teppy. If you're still wanting it after 2 years, it's something you should buy for yourself.

I've found that waiting for frivolous things tends to dimish the desire for them. Unless it doesn't--in which case, you're justified in purchasing it.

What is even happening?

Buy it, Jilli. It wasn't just a passing thing, or you'd have forgotten about it, by now.
