Thanks, guys! Me loves Thelma. My dad was all nervous, because she's "cinnamon" red, not "red" red, but I think she's just perfect.
Oh, man. My dogs go through about 30 lbs of dog food a month. And it's expensive because Mac's got a techy tummy. It costs over $1/lb. I keep threatening to make them get jobs.
Yeah. I'm lucky with Toto. His food is about $20 for the big bag, but it lasts him a couple of months. But, he's little. Of course, this doesn't count the little 5 pound bag of "treat" food (that's like $15) I have to give him before he goes to bed, because he usually doesn't eat dinner, and then he pukes. So, it still adds up.
Yes, our dog and cats defintely eat higher quality food than we do.
Red! and shiny! I could make a comparison to Giles car that replaced the Citroen, but I won't.
Ok. Carrot cake is in the oven. Should be interesting. I combined about five different recipes. Crossing my fingers that it's edible!
Now I have to decide what to do about dinner. I was gonna roast a chicken, but it turns out I'm hungry NOW. Maybe I'll order BBQ.
So, it turns out that one of my professors graded me for the class instead of giving me an incomplete as we had agreed. I need to e-mail him, but I'm dreading it. I have no idea what to say. "Um...duh" is all I'm coming up with so far.
Happy Anniversary, AmyLiz and DH!
Thelma is shiny.
Oh, Thelma *is* shiny! I like.
Thanks for the anniversary wishes, everyone! I'm so glad we still like each other after eighteen years (and three before that, while dating) that it's something I'm very thankful for. My DH is a very good guy.
Crap. I just lost my longish, lovely post. Here's the short version:
- Got the IM names in GAIM, yay!
- Thelma's lovely and I love her red.
- Everything's getting more expensive, but income is not growing at a corresponding rate.
- I read a new diet/lifestyle, and am inspired. More veggies, water and exercise will hopefully equal fewer calories and less weight. We'll see how it works out, but I'm still having fizzy wine!!
Why are groceries so damned expensive?
when my sister and I shared an apartment, we decided one summer to eat healthy snacks (no cookies or chips, etc). The food bill nearly tripled!!! WTF! So it's bad for ya AND cheaper!?! No wonder we Americans are so over weight. Just not fair!
Course, I'm discovering I snack more as stress increases. Need to find healthy snacks that last long time that are yummy (sorry, rice cakes are out! ick! Styrofoam! ack!) O ya, need to be quiet so I can snack in quiet theater and disturb actors on stage. blah. I'll never be thin again.
