Oh, Suzi, that would be awesome!
SA, I am glad about the computers, but I wish you weren't all banged up. Also? I am thrilled you're considering the philosophy masters -- I took a couple of undergrad philosophy courses and looooved them. I actually had a teacher once tell me I should do it as a major, and teach, which floored me, since half the time I wasn't sure what I was talking about. Now I kind of miss it (and have forgotten pretty much everything I learned, due to the having of children and writing cheesecake fiction).
{{{Cash's DH}}} Is this a new thing, Cash? Or something he's dealt with on and off?
Also, many hugs to Beej. I think it's very good of you to be concerned enough to want to help Fela out, even though it must be really hard sometimes.
In game-playing news, the new Clue DVD game has crapped out on us, MID GAME, two nights in a row now. DVD goes blank and we get the logo screen from our DVD player. No way to get back to where we were in the game. Hasbro is getting a very unhappy phone call tomorrow.
I posted this in my LJ earlier today but haven't mentioned it here. My mom was rushed to the hospital this morning. They've run tests and can't figure out what is wrong. She's been admitted and my father and sister are keeping me updated. I've got the car gassed up and ready to go so that I can either drive or fly to San Diego on short noticed.
It's another very ND Christmas.
ION Kristin and I are about to play the Pirates of the Carribean edition of the game of Life.
Oh, ND, I'm sorry. I know her health hasn't been good. Much health~ma to her.
Oof, ND, I hope it's not serious.
Is this a new thing, Cash? Or something he's dealt with on and off?
It's fairly new. He's developed sort of a low-grade seasonal depression as we've gotten older and this hibernation instinct kicks in hard. I don't think he's left the house since Sunday afternoon.

Where's Dr. House when you need him? You're going to suffer lots of indignities, but odds are you're walking out cured.
Oh, goodness. Deaths and puking and nosebleeds and depression and agoraphobia. -ma to everyone!
Everyone except Tommyrot. Who put "Day-O" in my head. NO MA FOR YOU!!
skipped, skimmed, and read.. finally caught up. Oy vey! I skipped yesterday to jet up to ND's for the FragFest (and got home WAY too late).
Pete, thanks for the links, that is VERY cool. Hope we can do it again SOON!
in related news, there is a good chance I might be getting my own Xbox! I was telling a buddy at work about the (then) upcoming Interstate FragFest. He thought it sounded cool. Asked which Xbox I had, told I had none. Loved my excuse for "I can't justify dropping a ton of cash for another excuse not to clean the apartment". Then mentioned he had THREE and do I want one!
After the fun, as limited as it was, I got to thinking, wow, this is a LOT more social than I thought. So I asked him today if he was serious with his offer. He'll be talking to his friend, and have an answer for me soon.
:: squeels of glee ::
So, um, Pete, if this does happen, do you give Halo Lessons?
Or you could get all the free music off Buffistarawk, you know.
um.. what is this? And where? If needs to, feel free to e-mail at addy in profile.
tia!
So...having played a quick round of Pirates Life, we are now deeply engrossed in a competive Scrabble game. Buffista-style, however...it wasn't enough that ND has the Scrabble board on the little spinny thing, we also now have the laptop on a spinny thing so we can take turns posting as we wait for the other person to form a word.
Really, it's amazing that anyone sleeps with us. Even each other.
Happy loving dorks. That's us.
