Are you a sickie girl, Suzi?
eta: I skipped a whole, whole bunch.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

It's more how you'll be received in academe just shooting for an MA (as a dilettante),
Well, they don't have to *know* that I'm a dilettante. I'm not going to put that on my CV or anything: "Masters, Philosophy, York University (Dilettante Department)." And I'm not even certain that I'll end up in the academe, anyway. I might actually get my shit together and become a chef. But I'm not brave enough for that yet.
I also know several people with MA degrees in Philosophy, and though none of them went into philosophy careers, many of them used the MA as a jump in career options. Sounds like you have a good attitude about it, SA.
I think it just seems like a goal I like, that I can reach. Which is more than I've managed in anything for the last eight months, so, yeah. I mean, who knows what will actually happen; but it's a thought, anyway. Besides, it's an excuse to stay in the UK for another year.
MA in Philosophy is faffing? I love SA.
MA in anything is faffing?
I suspect I may be a little weird. But then, didn't we all know that.
Um, hi. I'm alive and well.
Kate, hi! I'm glad to hear you are both alive and well! How are you?
Um, hi. I'm alive and well.
WOOHOO
Also, hi. I owe you email, but I suck.
Besides, it's an excuse to stay in the UK for another year.
Excuse enough.
Any philosophers in particular that interest you, or fields of study?

Suddenly, I have the urge to redo my resume' with truth and sarcasm.
Special Skills: withering glances, veiled hostility, ability to get out of meetings with believable excuses.
SA, I am doing very well. How are you, beautiful?
I really want to study Hume more in depth, I think. And I'm curious about the applications of Nietzche to modern ethics, especially environmental and bioethics. This is one of the courses I was looking at: [link]
And, okay, it's twenty to five in the morning, therefore I should be asleep. Considering I probably have to look smart to most likely less smart than me people at the recruitment agency. Night everyone.
Crosspost with Lee! t smooch!
No worries about the email - I was horrible about returning emails until I got my words back. And yours came at a most auspicious time, sweetie, and I thank you for it.
ION, David Letterman is talking about our mutual Alma Mater.

Apparently sleepy; tucked into the spare bed at Fay's house in the north of England, trying to formulate some kind of plan that involves a ridiculous 36-hour jaunt to Calais, mailing my visa off to London, finding a job, and somehow not going dead broke amidst all this. With the added facets of my near-BiL being in Italy (and therefore visiting him) and my best friend possibly coming for a longish vacation for the month of January. Things are a little wacky in cabeza de SA right now. I wish life came in kits sometimes.
And I'm curious about the applications of Nietzche to modern ethics, especially environmental and bioethics.
I'm all about Nietzsche.

Looks like a fun class, though I didn't get more than two sentences in before I started questioning their assumptions. That's what happens when you start playing with philosophy.
I'm glad you got your words back, sweetie.
I keep thinking something interesting might happen that I could email about, but it hasn't.
