You spend it with Kristin and make yourself happy. You can fly your nieces (and nephews?) out to see you in LA and take them to Disney Land. Everybody's happy!

ND and everyone else suffering from family hell as well.

I've had a lovely, albeit very quiet and low-key, Christmas. Today I brunched with a friend and her family, and tonight I will make myself a Cornish Hen just for me. I have the house to myself with plenty to eat and drink. I'm enjoying the alone time.

I like the way you think. I don't think it will happen, though. ND just has the one niece, and she is graduting high school this year. He worries about upsetting his mom, who is not in good health, and not being home for Christmas would definitely upset her.

Personally I'm willing to bite the bullet and spend Christmas day with them if I can then kidnap ND away elsewhere.
