Cash, lovely pictures of lovely people!

I put some up of the house and the punkins. Being I wasn't quite as bright as Cashmere, the bottom of our tree was, originally, decorated. Not so much anymore. The picture of the tree shows only the top 2/3rds. The bottom has about 3 unbreakable ornaments on it and a few lights--the rest have been moved. At least none have broken. [link]

Aidan woke up at 6:30 this morning and jumped on my head until I got up. He thought it was the best game ever. Then the coffee maker died. I'm drinking instant with water heated on the stove. It actually took me a few minutes to figure out how to do that.

Kara isn't up yet. She kept getting up last night until after midnight, saying she couldn't sleep and she needed a special event, like getting to stay up for another hour or two and watch Christmas specials.

I think it's nap time.

What is even happening?

Poor Deena. May you get a good nap.

This is the Catch-22 of coffee making problems -- you don't have any coffee in you while you're trying to puzzle out a solution.

Last winter, they were forecasting an enormous storm, with high winds. I bought some of those coffee bags (like tea bags, but with coffee), because I figured I could heat water in the fireplace, if nothing else. I've had a cup here and there. It's not as good as the real deal, but it does in a pinch.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I hope you can get a nap, Deena!

We left a few glittered pinecones on the lower branches for the kids in case they get curious. And a few candy canes--which Owen has learned to unwrap and start to eat. We just have a few left as well as about six half-eaten ones. I should have sent him to help wv break up her canes for the peppermint bark. And he *just* now climbed the counter and found the Hanukkah chocolate coins my neighbor gave them. He's trying to unwrap them sitting on the sofa in his Santa hat.

We're a very festive household.

I'm enjoying the Owen stories, but I'm awfully glad he's yours. I don't think I could take any more festive.

I should get coffee bags. I like that plan.

Heh. I think we're all glad all the Buffista kids ended up with the parents they did, no matter how adorable they are.

I think the coffee bags might not even be "instant" coffee. Folgers puts them out. You boil the water; pour it over the bag; let it steep for a minute, then dunk the bag (up and down, so dunk and undunk?) for 15 seconds, and you've got something fairly coffeeish. It has caffeine. I'm quite sure of it.

We're a very festive household.

Scott ran some errands late yesterday afternoon. Chris went with him, and wore the Santa hat, everywhere they went.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Such beautiful babies! And toddlers! And kids! You're all making it hard to work because I'm too busy clicking on links that kill me D-E-D.

Aimee, when you're up and about, could you let me know the dates you'll be in Michigan? Would you be up to spending a little time together? I've got relatives I can impose upon to put me up for a couple of days.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for pictures of cutiehead Buffista toddlers. Really I am grateful that mine are past the mommy and tree abuse stage. Well, still with the mommy abuse I suppose. A new set of challenges, but more communication.

I have the coffee bags. I bought them for camping and it works well enough.

I got to sleep in until 8 this morning! Finals for Brendon so he doesn't have to be to school until 10:30 for the rest of the week. Bobby starts at 9:30. Then vacation until Jan 9th. I do love not having to wake at 6. I will never be a morning person.

Yikes, do I have a list. Work, chores, shopping. Ick.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Pictures of cute buffista kids are a good thing to wake up to. I can't believe what a big girl Kara has become!

Poor Deena, I hope your day improves.

I have two French presses and make sure I keep ground coffee, even though I normally grind it myself, just to be sure I can have coffee.
