And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Most drug's side effects include earthshattering stuff. My assumption is that if they were likely, I'd not have been prescribed it, and if they're unlikely I may very well get killed on the way to the pharmacy.

I think the rule is that if more than 2% (or some absurdly small number like that) of patients report a symptom during clinical trials, it has to be listed as a side effect, whether or not there's a legitimate reason to believe it had anything to do with the drug.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

That's great, Zenkitty.

I have gone grocery shopping. The store did not have cardamom. How does a grocery store not have cardamom? I checked in the regular spices and in the Asian spice and in the organic spices, and none of them had it. (Also, WHY can this store not put all the spices together? Or all the flours? There's the regular flour section and the "natural" flour section, plus a few kinds that are for some reason with the hot cereals. Quorn fake meat is in the "natural" frozen section, but Morningstar Farms is in the regular frozen section. Some Boca is in one, and some in the other. WHY?)

Stuff I still need to do: laundry, make cookies, pack suitcase, vacuum. Which should I do first? (Before doing either laundry or cookies, I've got to go to CVS to get an electric mixer and some detergent.)

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Hil: if I coudn't find cardamom (well first I'd stomp my feet and pout then) I might try mace and a little lemon zest.

The recipe says to use either cardamom or ginger paste, so I'm going with the ginger paste version. Also, I seriously doubt that the store had mace. But thanks for the suggestion, anyway.

OK Outlook just told me "it's possible" should be changed to "its possible" and there was no way for me to explain to the program that it is mistaken. Does Outlook think I am talking about a thing belonging to possible?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I need to decide what I want to bake for Christmas, and what I want to cook for Christmas dinner. I should do that soon, huh.

I went to get my haircut and colored this morning. I was thinking of chopping it a lot, but the one thing I don't like about this hairdresser is that she ALWAYS overbooks, and even though I had a 9:45 appointment, she was already behind. By the time she started the cut, I'd been there for almost 2 hours, and I just couldn't stand being there any more, so I told her just to trim it and then bolted.

What is even happening?

I think it thinks you're talking about a thing to which possible belongs.

Reminds me of a storyteller who came to our gradeschool. He talked about Sunday being wash day and how they'd have to stand in a tub and take the soap and start at the top and wash down as far as possible, then start at the bottom and wash up as possible and then when mother left the room they'd wash possible.
