You know, my big sister could really beat the crap out of her. I mean, really really.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mostly lurking...

vw, you are taking Toto to Kansas? Do you *want* tornadoes?

No. Toto's staying here. I'm very sad. But, we're leaving their stockings all filled and presents for them, and their dog sitter is gonna open them with them on Christmas, take pictures, and e-mail them to us.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Ginger and Epic, I hope they're gone from your places, 'cause they're back here. I won't yell at them again, though. I will save you from the distress.

I thought my guys were on lunch. They came back to you? Corner them and ask about the transporter technology!

Thanks. I am there for my parent's big Christmas party tomorrow and might have a free second or two on Sunday or Monday before I fleeeeeeeee. Then I am back at the end of the week for my stepmom's birthday, Christmas Eve with my mom, Christmas Hell Day with the folks and family and then I fly out that very night. [eta: So, yes, I will try and call so we can see each other cause it's been ages!]

Dang! We may need a crowbar to squeeze me into a schedule that tight! (At the moment, I'm unbooked on Sunday, except I have some shopping to do. I bet I won't even be contagious any more by then!)

Sparky, I was sorry to read you're leaving the left coast, but congrats on the onward and upward! Best of luck dealing with the "I'll get back to you" 's until you're safely ensconced in your new locale.

Negotiation-ma, Brenda!

Librarian Warlord

In my new HR department's defense, they've never had someone hired in this kind of position ask for a moving allowance so there is a bit of flying by the seat of their pants happening.

Nice house, Raq -- I'll buy it if you don't. It's amazing that it is so cheap!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Vacation. A real vacation starts tomorrow. I'm currently getting my hair cut and colored and then this afternoon it is an eye appointment and new glasses.

The status is NOT quo.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

And then the sex change operation?

Now tagless for your comfort.

I am having an Egg Nog White Russian because that's the only mixer I've got in the house. Surprisingly good. I feel very Santa Lebowski

Ho, ho, ho, Duuuuude.

I want to try one of those.

How does pasteurizing eggs work? Wouldn't that hardboil them?

They raise the temperature very slowly and only high enough to kill the bacteria without cooking the eggs. Then they bring the temp back down.

Selfish mememe: My new favorite family picture (at least until I get an equally cleavage-y one with Hec and Matilda).

JZ, that's FANTASTIC!

I'm really amused by how much this picture of Hec and Matilda: [link] reminds me of this picture of Plei and Bean: [link], because in both pictures, the parent and sprog have the same expressions on their faces.

(In the Plei-Bean picture, the expression seems to be "FECK OFF!!!" In the Hec-Matilda picture, the expression seems to be "Did you NEED something? Then depart, mortal!")

I haven't had enough time to surf flickr because these shots are fan-fucking-tastic.

Good luck with the negotiations, Brenda. I hope you can get a little extra $--it's worth the effort to ask.

The weather here has been GORGEOUS and sunny. I took the kids over to a friend's house to play and they are now exhausted and napping. Tomorrow, my in-laws are coming over to babysit while we go out and do ALL of our Christmas shopping. In one afternoon. I fear lives may be lost.
