Lydia: But you are a vampire. Spike: If I'm not, I'm gonna be pissed about drinking all that blood.

Spike's Bitches 33: Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The Barney the Dog blog is absolutely adorable.

Gronk. I've got to grade papers this morning. I so don't want to. But it's the last grading of the semester, and I NEED to finish it today.

I think I need coffee.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I am also so not awake. But our client is panicking, which means my brain has to fix something for them anyway. My boss told them I'd have it fixed this morning.

Oh well - more tea for me then....

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I am awake, unfortunately. Need more coffee, but don't need a sour stomach, which too much caffeine can give me.

Fay, the BarneyBlog is so cute! The kids are going to love it.

{{Cass}} Feel better~ma, hon.

I think I may try making some egg nog this year. I don't think I ever have. My mother was always the one to make it, when we had it. Hmmm.

IOmeN, I finally got all the presents for my son and d-i-l wrapped. Now to find a box big enough to mail them all in! Thank heavens for the post office 3-day priority mail. Reasonable price and reasonable delivery time.

What is even happening?

Beej, I think you can also buy pasteurized eggs. I've never done so, but Alton Brown is always talking about them as a raw egg/salmonella solution.
I saw pasteurized eggs in the grocery store, in little pint-sized cartons, right next to the actual eggs (and above the egg substitutes), at Thanksgiving time.

My Shedule:

Wednesday, Thursday, and Today: Make Peppermint Bark and Do Math.

Saturday: See the Rockettes and give mom and dad their Peppermint Bark.

Sunday and Monday: Make my Peppermint Bark

Tuesday: Mop floor.

Yes. It's going to take all day to mop the floor. There is SO much ground candy canes in my kitchen floor right now. And, it's made worse by the fact that Toto keeps licking it (GROSS!), so it's sticky and ICK.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Fay, that is the cutest blog. Your students are so lucky to have you.

{{{Cass}}}

I have been awake for about an hour, and I am slowly waking up. I was so exhausted yesterday that I slept like the dead last night.

I just found out that TCG's brother and his family will be visiting after Christmas. I can't wait. We'll be able to give his neice and nephew their Christmas gifts in person, which takes a little bit of the sting out of having to send the nephews' gifts by mail.

They also sell actual eggs that have been pasteurized. I've used them. The texture was a little different, but they worked fine, at least for things like key lime pie and meringue.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

They also sell actual eggs that have been pasteurized.

That's the product I was thinking of.

How does pasteurizing eggs work? Wouldn't that hardboil them?
