Can anyone tell me what a pelvic ultrasound is like?
It's fairly uninteresting. They take a camera that is cylindrical (rather like a personal fufillment device), cover it with a condom. It's called something else, but it's really a condom, and umm, insert it into the area in question. They may also do a regular ultrasound. The gel is always cold.

Glucophage is the primary diabetic drug used to lower blood sugar. You were given it to lose weight?
People with PCOS often have wonky blood sugar, and Glucophage is effective at stabilizing it. A side effect is that it can result in weight loss.

I did not know that. How interesting. My most common side effect was constipation. I had to get a different drug.
Also the glucophage can regulate ovulation and decrease testostrone levels. So it's for more than weight loss. Also PCOS can lead to type 2 diabetes and heart disease so it's important to regulate the blood sugar. I emphasized the weight loss because it would be nice to lose weight for once instead of constantly gaining weight.
