I like money better than people. People can so rarely be exchanged for goods and/or services!

Spike's Bitches 33: Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

FWIW: if anyone is morally flexible on percocet...
For gods' sakes, don't go to Tijuana with Trudy!

Lee -

I am a firm believer in using pharmacology to help where and when it is needed
As am I. Seeking actual medical help for anything from diabetes to bipolar to treating bruises to childbirth is a *good* thing to me.
and if that did not come across, I should have chosen my words better. I was reacting to what seemed like an off the cuff quip on Hec's part, and not the fact that someone would be helped by Xanax, or any other drug.
Your words were fine. My hackles were up for other reasons, none of them what you said. I feel like psychopharms (besides being a damn funny word, I mean really - psychopharm... heh...) are hard enough to accept, knowing that there is an extra-special stigma makes it just so much harder. The world annoyed me, not you at all, Lee.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Plus, no more rage boy kitty!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I didn't read Hec's comment as "hysterical female; get the drugs" -- I read it as "She's going through -- and has *been* going through -- WAY too much uber-stressful crap and is therefore responding in the only sensible way, which is to flip out. The flipping out is making her unable to sleep, function, etc., and if Xanax will help her get some much-needed sleep/chill time, then get the meds."

Or, what my press officer said.

BOOK: "River..? Please, why don't you come on out..." RIVER: "No. Can't. Too much hair." - 'Jaynestown'

Amusement from Wired, about a wacko that claims soybeans are turning our children gay.

That explains everything! My high-soy vegetarian diet is slowly turning me gay! I just didn't know it! This also explains my horrid luck with the ladies of late. Such a shock.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!? (WTF?!)

It never ceases to amaze me the ways people will come up with to rationalize and explain their own bigotry.

This, Lee. Not you at all--just the same frustration Cass expressed here.

No, no...I think that has more to do with not telling the ladies that you like them!
