Haven't you killed me enough for one day?

Spike's Bitches 33: Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I find that never ever being able to get a cell signal in the library is a very effective deterrent, and far less confusing than different rules for different rooms. Should you want to drop any hints before you get the frak out of Dodge.

Hey. New board.

Can excedrin make you light-headed? I'm feeling odd...

I suppose it could be the not-eating-yet.

Those outfits are cute, Aimee.

I'm sorry for your pain, Cash. And the general stressiness of your life.

What do you do when you're trying to get in on the very ground floor of a new fandom, but can't find the smart people in it, and don't have the time to start something of your own? Especially something as small as a new musical.

Everything should be as perfect as buffistas: I should be able to type "www.springawakeningistas.com" and have no problem finding a community JUST like this one - smart, good writers, good at ignoring flamers - that can squee with me. In fact, I should be able to do that with anything:

www.veronicamarsistas.com
www.sillyyoungadultbooksistas.com
www.attractivesmartgirlsinnewyorkandtheguysthatlovethemistas.com
www.teacheristas.com
www.webcomicsistas.com

And... that would about cover me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The guys that love the mistas, Gris? Is there something you want to share with the class?

Hey. New board.

Haha. "the mistas." 'Fraid I'm not quite that ghetto. Yet. My students are rubbing off on me, but they haven't taken me that far.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oy, poor EM just called me in hysterics.

She got back from her trip for her father's funeral and found a weird note in her mailbox. It was stamped out (rubber stamps?) and looked like "U R So Hott! I am a nice guy. Meet me at UR cafe. I'll wear Red."

And, of course, this is the last thing she wants to see after having been stalked by her crazy ex. But this is nothing like her crazy ex's MO. But she called the police. And she showed it to the people at Emmett's aftercare. And she couldn't get any sleep last night obsessing about it.

And the aftercare people called her at work to say some guy was hanging around the cafe at the center there and they didn't recognize him and he was wearing a red shirt. So she calls me up, flipping out and crying, and going on about "...and I dressed Emmett in red today - I didn't even think about it..."

I told her to calm down. It was probably unrelated. That she was understandably paranoid and freaked, but really she's just overwhelmed with all the shit that's been going on.

And she called me back two minutes later and somebody talked to the guy and he was just meeting some family member there. False alarm.

But she's just a wreck. I told her to talk to her doctor and get some Xanax so she can be functional at work during her big year-end push there. Because she's missed a lot of work in this quarter, and I don't care how supportive her boss is, after a certain point an employee is flakey and causing problems because she's not there. (And yes, this is a pattern that's happened in her other jobs before too.)

Poor thing. I get that this is the last straw but she's going to have to pull her shit together anyway.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ack. That's not fun.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Ah yes, thanks for the reminding Gris...

Aims, I CAN'T WAIT for photos of Em and her baby in those outfits!

{{Cash}} much ~ma to you. Take it as easy as you can on yourself.

Yikes! Poor EM.

Oh, ita, I kept waiting for you to chime in on Raq's stocking-stuffers for people with pinky-assassination skills.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Yikes! That sounds really freaky for EM.

Argh! My microwave broke! And I'd pretty much planned on heating up leftovers and frozen stuff for almost every day this week.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Mind you, I almost think I'd rather have Cramps O' Doom instead of the crying meltdown I had last night. I suspect the hormonal mood-swings are getting worse.
This was my thoughts regarding the end of PMS of Doom until the Cramps and Nausea of Doom came a calling. I think I forgot an important sacrifice or three.

The DH will say "You look really bad in that picture" as he deletes it from his cache, but since he also says "You look beautiful in this picture" just as often, it doesn't sting so much.
DxH would do this. I liked the honesty. And knew that when he said it, it was true. Also had better fashion sense than I. However he would never have come at me with fat calipers without knowing he'd be missing an appendage or two.

ND and Laura, thanks for the tablet info. The temptation is growing, but I think I'll probably wait until late winter or spring, so I can wait until I go to CA, because shipping to AK is a bitch, and not in a good way.
Buy here, no tax.

It's the modern version of ssssssshhhh.
And kinder than bopping them on the head. Which is what I would be tempted to do.

Puppycat wants desperately to steal the warm goo pack on my tummy (found one in the freezer!) but she's not good at not hurting me with all her weight leaning on one or two feet instead of lying down nicely. So she's pissed that she can't steal heat and I am pissed that she keeps stabbing at me. She'd best settle next to me soon.

Yikes! That sounds really freaky for EM.
It does. Poor woman. Terrified is a horrible place to be.

My cramps killed Bitches? I thought you people were better than this. I am so disappointed...
