ION, my parents' friend got through bypass surgery well yesterday. He's currently in ICU, but they expect him to be doing well enough later today to move him to a regular room. Thanks for the ~ma.

Big hugs to Laura. I read some of the drama last night, after I got up from my nap. Then I went back to bed. Er. Not the most productive use of an evening, for me.

Which is why it's 8AM and I'm dyeing my hair. Guess I will not be inviting the date back to my house, the place is a pit! Ah well, good to remove temptation from self. :)

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for temptation! Yay for dates! Have fun meara.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I hope it's a splendiferous date, meara, you deserve it.

Laura, glad to hear the idiot hasn't used your phone. I hope he does something stupid, that also costs you nothing, to get caught, quick.

Yay for bug squeeage!

My cramps o' doom hit yesterday. I think I'm synching (why does spell check spell that as syncing? now both look wrong.) with the bitches again.

I found the battery charger for my camera, just in time to miss getting to take pictures of the kids with Santa. Aidan's response was much like Mal's. The picture they took has him with big eyes, wriggling away, his sweater under his armpits as Santa desperately tries to hold on. Then he saw the camera and froze long enough to say Cheese! Even when the man in red is trying to eat him, he'll stop to smile for the camera. I'm going to try to get pictures of the decorations outside the house today.

A payment from a client that should have been here on Friday or Saturday hasn't arrived yet. He sent it in a Christmas card...and included a cash bonus for the holidays. I have no idea how much, but they were quite upset when I called and said it hadn't arrived yet. I'm hoping it's just that the mail is slow right now and it will be here today.

There was something else I was going to respond to. I've forgotten what it was.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Mac's incontinence isn't going away. *sigh* I was really hoping the pills would do the trick but she's still dribbling all over the floor and she can't go more than two hours alone in the house--she left a giant lake of urine on the floor when I was at the doctor on Friday. (A joy for me trying to wrangle both kids into the house after getting a spinal injection by myself, get them fed AND clean up the pool of pee before someone tracked in it).

I don't know what to do. I don't have the time or energy to deal with this. If I weren't taking care of kids (or worried about them crawling in piss) I might be more willing to let some of this go but it's going to cause a large quality of life issue for everyone.

I know people with insulin dependent pets, pets treated for cancer, dogs with hip replacements and I feel like a heel for not having the money or ability to deal with an aging, lovable but incontinent dog.

And I had ONE completely pain free day (Saturday). Pain's back (down the hip and leg). I have to call the doctor today and she's probably going to refer me to a surgeon.

Oh, {{Cash}}}. I'm so sorry.

{{Crampy Ones}} It's about the only benefit I've found for age, I no longer have the cramps of doom.

Raq, Mal is such a cutiehead! I'm convinced if we ever got all the Buffista sprog in one place, the entire world would collapse under the critical mass of the cute and adorableness.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm going to make Christopher take Owen to see Santa. I'm kind of curious how he'll react. I'd like at least one Christmas picture of the two of them but it will mean fighting the crowd at the nearest shopping center.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Oh Cash, I am so sorry. I was hoping you'd get more of a pain break. I know it's hard, but please don't beat yourself up. Speaking as someone who has the insulin dependent cat and has had an older incontinent dog, they are NOT the same thing, even before you add in the kids and the back pain.
