Spike's Bitches 33: Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

And here's the rub: the day before, I'd stumbled across $48 in my car. His former car. So I was going to give it back to him. Because I would feel horribly guilty keeping it. Even though he won't miss it since he doesn't know it exists, or he would asked me about it. But I didn't feel like he deserved it just yet. Because I am mean.

Sounds like cab fare to me!

Or a chauffering fee. Buy yourself something nice, P-C.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Checking in from the ND and KT party. Yes, the punch was good... nay AWESOME. I'm very proud of myself that I imbibed but knew when to say when. I was surprised how fast it wore off.

Much kudos to the hosts! Yummy food, great booze, and Fabulous guests! Fun time had by all, I'm sure.

Hello's to the new folks I met last night.

Can't wait for the pics. I think there was one good shot of Drew and I in our kilts. Alas, I fear most of the shots were fairly drunk close ups. Which could be entertaining unto themselves.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Or a chauffering fee. Buy yourself something nice, P-C.

Oh, I couldn't do that! I'd feel really bad. I can't keep it unless I actually attempt to restore it to its original owner.

Trust my rage

Today I am feeling like the ass mom. Ellie has been sick with every symptom possible since Thursday. (I'd describe more but I'm holding her and typing one handed.) I didn't take too the doctor yesterday because she seemed to be improving. Of course, today she's worse. Now, I'm worried she has dengue which is not likely, but is possible.

And, I'm upset about missing work again tomorrow. Not because I have work to do, because I don't and I'm rather bored there, but vecause I haven't earned enough sick leave yet to cover both days and I hate using something I haven't earned.

Oh, and hi! I've been skimming and lurking for a while. So let me just jump back in with a bunch of worrying.

Sorry, I just think you have earned it. It can help with all the money I am sure you're expected to spend on people this month.

Stephanie! Nice to see you posting. Sorry that Ellie is sick. Get better ~ma to her.

We have a tree! It is so cute. It's skinny and just under 5 ft tall. We'll probably decorate it tomorrow. In OmemeN,TCG is cooking me dinner tonight.

BOOK: "River..? Please, why don't you come on out..." RIVER: "No. Can't. Too much hair." - 'Jaynestown'

Well, one show down and one to go. I took a little nap on the break, which helped a good deal.

My liver says it's forgiven me, but likely will hold a grudge for a while.

As for party pics, I know there were a lot taken later in the evening on ND's camera, paparazzi-style.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I do live. So glad the punch was outside in the cold and rain and I was wearing a skimpy little outfit. I think I only had about one cup. (but how big are those cups? 12, 16 oz?) I am functioning but very hung & I have to be to work in an hour and a half.

I've been thinking lately... sorry I forgot who mentioned earlier about serenading a baby with Invader Zim's Christmas but also last night at the party there was a baby whose first impression of Santa Clause will always be NoiseDesign as- well I'll let him tell it for himself but if you know him you know it was twisted. This generation of babies is growing up with The Tick vs. Christmas and Weird Al Yankovic's Christmas at Ground Zero and all kinds of twisted interpretations of this holiday. I think the most bizarre Christmas related item when I was growing up was Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer which iirc did cause quite a bit of controversy in its day. What is Christmas going to mean to all these kids who are growing up today?

When my nephew was younger he came home from school one day with the impression that Christmas was about "Baby Cheeses." Needless to say my brother did nothing to disabuse him of that notion and to this day we make sure to have some of those Bon Belle (or however you spell it) mini cheeses in the fridge for the holidays.

Yeah, I understand that rationale too. It just feels more wrong than right to me, unfortunately.
