I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

job~ma to Matt

I need a haircut. I don't care, as long as it's cute and short. I have a round face. I'm intrigued by Plei's reverse angle bob. But am open to anything else. I would like a change.

Hec? Anyone?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

All kinds of job~ma to Matt!

Nora, I expect Hec to show up any time with links. Your hair is pretty thick, isn't it?

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

thanks for the ma~~ He should be interviewing now.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Job-ma for Matt, who has been horribly dicked over by his present employers for way, way too long.

Hec is curled up with Matilda and Emmett watching the Avatar season finale right now while I make risotto, but as soon as that's done I'll take the baby and he'll come right over to dispense advice and links.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Hec is curled up with Matilda and Emmett watching the Avatar season finale right now while I make risotto

unbearably cute.

Jack Devine sounds like a hell of a man.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

They're totally wicked cool, right? [link] Also, hair's kinda cute today. I should actually *do* it more often.

Muy adorable.

Hec is curled up with Matilda and Emmett watching the Avatar season finale right now while I make risotto

I had to growl at Emmett constantly: "Quit playing with her hands while she's asleep! If you wake her up, you can calm her down."

Whereas he was in his usual high mischief mode: "She's so tiny! And her head is sooooo big. I can make her hands do anything." ::makes her punch the air in her sleep::

Jack Devine sounds like a hell of a man.

He had quite the life. He was very sweet but also a total, stereotypically Irish curmudgeon. He'd go from roaring, "I don't know what the HELL you're talking about!" to the sweetest, almost childlike giggle in a minute. Great cook, and I've got his awesome beef stew recipe. (He used cuts of steak and Italian sausage. Mmmmm.)

One of the best things I ever did for EM was to push her to finally, finally take that trip to Ireland with her Dad when he was in his eighties. Very important for both of them.

He really did believe in equal rights for everybody (blacks, women, gays) long before the country did. And he didn't just believe it - he worked hard to make it true in his lifetime.

Not a saint by any means, but a life well lived.

Nora, I think you could totally rock the angled bob. I was talking to Jallah's (one of Emmett's teammates last year) mom the other day and she had a nice angled bob that went from below the corner of her mouth and steeply angled up, but covering her ear that worked very well with her round features.
