[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Ack! Worlds collide! I mean, not really *my* worlds, but I still feel all wigginsed by it.

Oh, and wigginsed should be a word. Or I need sleep. It's debatable.

Cass, I mean, it was wigginsy enough that we visited the same schools on the same weekends (he and another guy, actually...I wonder if the other guy randomly knows someone I know!). And now this!

The status is NOT quo.

Okay, that post creeped me right the hell out, and I'm not any of those people!

What is even happening?

I'm distressed by my current hair. I mean, the cut is shaggy and overgrown, but I know the good cuts for me and I can easily get it back in shape. But the COLOR -- oy. My gray came in really fast during my outrageous-shades-of-red years and I haven't learned to adapt AND IT'S ALL RIGHT IN THE FRONT WHERE I CAN'T HIDE IT UNDER CLEVER STYLING.

It won't take color the same way any more, and even if it did, the roots are utterly obvious growing back in. So I've been letting it grow out, which adds to my general unkempt feeling. And I can't figure out whether to just let it be gray (but I can't pull off the sexy Jamie Lee Curtis gray until it evens out more, and anyway I'm SO NOT READY YET!) or to figure out whole new dyes and techniques and whatnot that'll actually work.

Bleh.

(And I have to admit to a deep resentment of people who get all OMG! I HAVE THREE GRAY HAIRS! Bite me, babe, I'm Steve Fucking Martin.)

Heh. I just sent amych an email, because I thought I was reading Natter.

I have exactly the same thing going on. I never had to color, and then bam. It seemingly happened during one color cycle. And so much is in the top/front.

If my grey would look like Theodosia's, I'd say bring it on, but I have too much, yet not enough.

Nicole and beth, you too?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

There are capybaras on my teevee!

If I have any grey I don't know it, and am not too terribly concerned. I am in bad need of a haircut though.

I'ma take a stand against the crowd and say that I think that's totally cool, Aims and P-C. I love when stuff like that happens.

Our wings are not tired.

Okay, that post creeped me right the hell out, and I'm not any of those people!

I'm with Brenda. I've lived a bunch of places and I love when things like that happen. Not even an itty bitty wiggin.

I stopped coloring my hair about 3 years ago after countless years and colors. There are a dozen or so grey. I like it. My mother is about 35% grey at 85 so I don't imagine it will happen too quickly. DH's mom was about white by my age. He has bunches, particularly in his beard, which I like.

LoL (life o laura) Son Brendon finally got his grades to the point where I can give him back his phone. He's enjoying HS and basketball. Son Bobby finding his way in MS. School is difficult for him. Weekend of laying sod, fixing sprinklers, painting shutters, fixing pool screening, and doing Christmas decorations. Don't was to call attention to the house until stuff gets fixed. Started new extreme diet. Got heat rash under my breasts; that is really unacceptable. Food bad. No more bad food.

Kind of reminds me of when I was at McGill and a guy named Amahl, from the Yukon - no, seriously - sent an email to an Engineering listserv, that I think he'd found via whatever passed for google back then, asking if anyone knew this guy named Carlos, also from the Yukon, who he'd heard might be living in Montreal.

Engineering dorks being what they are, they had no idea, but my roommate's BF was all "they're in Arts, they know people" and brought it home to us. As it turned out, I'd just started a new seminar class - and of the eight people in the class, one of them was...Carlos.
