Look, you got a little stabbed the other day. That's bound to make anyone a mite ornery.

Mal ,'Ariel'

Spike's Bitches 33: Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

When we saw the wolves, who were playing chase, Mal pointed and said "Arf! Arf!"
Love the Mal stories. Just love them.

Sorry for the stress, Nora. When you get a hold of the Borrowers, will you ask where my slim phone battery is? I have looked everywhere. And there are no people here to play mean, sick, fucked up tricks on me. Except the cats, of course.

Learned that falling asleep in front of the fireplace is only a good idea if you are a cat. And not, say, a human whose neck likes to go crinky. The stretching and stuff has nearly got it back to working order but, sheesh, it was only a couple hours of dozing and I broke me. I hate when I do that. This is why I am not allowed to have the cool body.

Yay ChiKat!

Nora, we used to blame it on Nick all the time, but now he's almost never here. It's quite annoying to have no one to blame. Thank heavens Kara's figured out how to climb chairs and things.

I've been designing a site rebuild for a client. He's crazy like a crazy thing that doesn't have a drop of fox. I've talked him down from some ideas and agreed to some others I think are.. well, crazy. It's made for lots of hours (yay christmas!) and a disturbingly cranky-making lack of sleep. And we're less than halfway done!

I miss you guys. I fell asleep on the keyboard catching up last night. Today I've been on strike, at least for the last few hours.

I still get blamed for missing things at Mom's house, and I haven't lived there for years.

move out and draw fire

Deena!!! Miss you too!

Learned that falling asleep in front of the fireplace is only a good idea if you are a cat.

Except for the time Legion was sleeping on a cushion in front of our fireplace and the fireplace's glass door exploded.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Thanks, y'all!! I am excited/nervous/scared/all of the above. I've been going to school for 4 years to get to this point and now that it's here, I'm freaking out a little.

Are you done working gawdawful hours?

To a degree. I've had a couple of days reprieve as we wait for some data from another company. Next week will be icky, but then the project should be done. At least I've been able to get some sleep and housework done this week.

Okay, Raq is just bringing the joy today.

I, strangely, figured out yesterday that I've been depressed since we moved into the house--all the stress of finding it and buying it and trying to keep it from falling about our ears (though there's really no chance of that, I worry) and just being a big mess. The strange part is that, once I figured it out, I felt so much better and far less hermitty and strange.

Mostly lurking...

Yay, ChiKat!

I just bought new glasses. Spent a stupidly crazy amount of money, because the doctor insisted that I also needed prescription sunglasses. Also, found out that one of the medications that I'm terribly allergic to did permanent damage to my eyes. I love new surprises! I really want to google about it, but I'm going to resist. I get to pick up the glasses on Monday. YAY!

You are Tom and Tom is you. No wonder I like you both so much!

Aidan and I are next for vision exams, and Greg is going for a hearing test. He thinks he needs a hearing aid. I don't feel like we're old enough for tri-focals and hearing aids.
