I'm sure from a smoker's point of view that's kinda like me saying they're welcome to sit in the back of the bus.
From this smoker's point of view it sounds just about ideal.
THere's a prop on the ballot here today to put a $2.60 tax on cigarettes. As as smoker, I think I actually plan on voting yes on that one. $7 - 8 for a pack of cigarettes is too much, and would go a long way towards helping me put this nasty habit back down again.
The Birkenstock-wearing granola-eating lefties in the city of Decatur voted for no smoking in restaurants or bars, and they get more restaurants there every day. The county commission is going for a county-wide ban, but it looks like the county CEO is going to veto it. The state law says that you can either serve people younger than 18 or have smoking, but not both. The Vortex (a bar I went to with Vortex) is basically a biker bar with great hamburgers, but as more families moved into the area, they started to get a lot of families with children. They immediately went with smoking, saying, "We never wanted kids here anyway."
We don't have income tax here
Is this because of all the navel bases? I know Texas doesn't have state income tax (because of oil money) and Nevada doesn't have one because of gambling profits. I don't know if there are any other states out there that don't charge income tax.
Commie.
Thank you connie. That was sweet of you to say.
Heh, I do love the Vortex.
I have only received one call. And that was from the Republicans. It is rather surprising. My co-worker got a call from Bill Clinton. I was jealous.
I am looking forward to TDS. Not looking forward to giving up at 4am without having answers. I want all the races to be decided tonight. Early.

Yeah, I got no issue with that. Though it doesn't help as much as you'd think, at least now that I'm not a starving student any longer.
I totally get the agitation of smokers and, believe it or not, the smoking bans are causing this deathly allergic person to suffer even more!
Before the ban? Smokers were cossetted away in their smoky dens of smokiness and I just didn't go there. Now? They are all out on the streets and walking down the sidewalk has become super hazardous for me. I swear, in public, I spend 40 percent of my time holding my breath. Fela has gotten really, really good at spotting smokers up ahead and steering me into the street, but one of these days, I'm either going to choke to death or we are going to get hit by a bus.
Cashmere, wasn't there the Issue 3 with the slot machines?
Jon Stewart's week in Columbus pulled up sooo many ridiculous OH campaign ads. My favorite was the complicated 24-ish looking one about terrorist phone calls.
Got no political calls this season. I think it's because our number is unlisted.
