Well, other bands know more than three chords. Your professional bands can play up to six, sometimes seven, completely different chords.

Spike's Bitches 33: Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Curiously, JZ's brother is also vegetarian
Is this the brother that I get?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Is this the brother that I get?

More bacon for you?

Yes! It's delicious on veggie burgers.

Thrive to spite them

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! To all USAians and those celebrating.

HAPPY DAY to everyone else.

Cash, glad your Mom is okay. David, I'm glad EM got a good judge and that she has you guys and her new BF so she's not alone. Hopefully this will be a kick in EMEX's pants.

Speaking of vegetarians and Moosewood cookbook, this is my first vegetarian thanksgiving and the only meat is the turkey. Mom is making vegetarian dressing for everyone. I made Mushroom Pie from the Sunday Dinner cook book --- my first pie ever and it looks so good. We're eating. Later, I'm not sure when our plans are changing.

I've been wondering what everyone is having/has had for their Tday feast. We're having turkey breast, dressing, gravy, mushroom pie, roasted asparagus, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, cranberry jello salad, waldorf salad, rolls, chocolate raspberry cheesecake and sweet potato pie.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I bought a turkey dinner meal and a mini-pie at Whole Foods. The chances of my being able to eat more than the mashed potatoes today don't look good, but hey, leftovers!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Happy Thanksgiving! Am at my mother's. Am booooored. Everytime I spend more than five minutes on the computer, I start getting grief.

In summary:

Mother - still makes the world's best cookies

Sister - still annoying

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! I am in Arkansas! My father-in-law is going to teach me how to shoot a crossbow! Best in-laws ever!

I have no idea what will be served at Thanksgiving (other than the green bean casserole I'm bringing). I have hopes it will be familiar, counting on the fact that the family is from Indiana, like me...but then I remember that they moved there from CALIFORNIA, so goodness knows what sort of freakish godless thanksgiving feast they might create. I'm still scarred from going to Vortex's feast and finding that they didn't have MASHED POTATOES!! SHOCKING. :)

I have no idea what will be at Thanksgiving this year. New people, new food, I'm scared...

Mom is here and we just checked the directions to Thx and turns out we need to leave in about 5 minutes ago. And we both have to shower. Yes, it is the holidays. Time to get cleaned up and motor.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Mom wanted ham, so I got her a couple of thick slices and will heat those up and make gravy. StY and I have lemon pepper chicken, also from the deli--we're scattered this year, so the deli is mostly cooking for us. In a minute I'll move to the kitchen and make garlic mashed with cottage cheese and dill, steam the green beans and heat up the niblets corn and the sweet rolls. We'll have chocolate truffle cake, left over from StY's birthday day before yesterday, with ice cream for dessert.

Tryptophan dreams to all sweet Buffistas!
