Always Anti-fascist!

Thanks, ita. Don't be surprised if you get swamped with Olbermann photos once Bespectacled gets out. A number of Countdown watchers have that as a Thing. My mother was actually bitching about"Having to look over her glasses" at people. I've been waiting my whole life for that as an *opportunity* to look as intellectually superior as I feel.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

And a cool RL name.
Lib really does have a fabulous RL name. I want to call her by it just always.

I was trying to think of more first impressions and have exhausted my brain with it. Also amused myself that several of my "first impressions" of people are not when I actually first met them in meat space. Because there have been times when there were too many new people and so my filed first impression is later when there was more of an opportunity.

I've been waiting my whole life for that as an *opportunity* to look as intellectually superior as I feel.
I am as erika with my glasses sometimes. Of course, I only should wear them for reading and computering and I forget more often than not, but I still kinda like wearing them when I do.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Cass! Perkins just brought me the spider squid.

It seems to be missing part of one leg.

Yay squid! I'm kinda shocked that there are any legs left.

Puppycat does the run up with squid in face, spit the fur blob out and then meows. It is the cute. I have no idea what reaction she is going for but I just praise her for catching the fur.

I've had to store it on the top of the refrigerator when I'm not here. Perkins was using it to taunt ozzie through the gaps at the bottom of the dividing screen.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Is more cowbell a cure?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm listening to the CD that my aunt got me for my birthday. It's klezmer/Appalacian. I really didn't expect those sounds to work together, but they sort of do. It's kind of neat.

Hey. New board.

Damn! I meant to leave a long message about 100 messages ago (when I had just returned from my skip, plus, was sober and caffeinated instead of drunk and sleepy) and somehow that message didn't go through.

Anyhoo:

I've met a bunch of LA folks (Aimee, MM, Sean, Lee, Debet was there, Hil was also there, ... who am I missing? I suck) when we saw The Incredibles and had dinner afterwards. I also met a bunch of Somervillians (Erin, VW, Frankenbuddha, Victor, ... who am I missing? I again suck) at Erin's sendoff. Plus there was that time I ate dinner with Debetesee and Hil in NYC when we were all there at the same time.

Buffista visits were always amazing experiences for me. Such quick movements from "stranger" to "fun!". Even though I wouldn't say I really "know" anybody from the board, it's always impressed me how quickly I at least get along with the Buffistas I've met in person.

This year, the F2F should be near me (Boston or NYC looking like the obvious candidates), so hopefully I shall meet more of you. I'm looking forward to it!
