I don't give a good gorram about relevant, Wash. Or objective. And I ain't so afraid of losing something that I ain't gonna try to have it. You and I would make one beautiful baby. And I want to meet that child one day. Period.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

First Impression me!!

Yay! Her legs are around me!

No, I think my first impressions of Aimee were a mash of: Incredible bone structure, Damn she's funny & This is a woman worthy of MM (and vice versa, of course).

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

First Impression me!!

Was our first meeting at Jerusalem Garden? Or was it earlier, at the con thing with vw and Emily? I think the latter, right? I think my general first impression was "Yay!" And then, "This woman has no inhibitions."

Of course, I am also curious about people's first impressions. If they first met me this May, I'm going to assume they'll say "red-and-black blur, drinks A LOT."

"Is that JZ? It doesn't look like JZ. Whoa, she's hugging me. Whoa, she's kissing me on the cheek. Who is this chick? Juliana?? What the hell is she doing in San Francisco? Also, I thought she didn't like me. Er?"

It cracks me up because I always forget he was here before I was, and therefore I had to show I was cool, etc because IRL - so not the case usually.

Always Anti-fascist!

No. Everybody gets shocked that I have a face like a Hummell but all these violent metaphors spew out. Buffistas find it amusing...general public, nsm. Crazy thought I had yesterday...it would have been a trip if Pelecanos had guest-written a WW. He could have written a good one for Charlie, even if he'd found "walking and talking" slower than a motherfucker.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Let's see....Anne, my first impression was "Ye gods, SO pretty," in a kind of Natalie Merchant way (which I revised to Elizabeth Hurley after the SF2F), and your super-cool alterna-chick glasses intimidated me. No, seriously.

Aimee -- I remember it was the LA F2F, and when I got to the hotel -- still in the parking lot, actually -- you came running over with a joyful squee and hugged me, and I remember thinking, "But I didn't even know she *liked* me!" And I just felt all giddy with the "you like me! You really like me!" thing going on.

juliana -- I can't even remember actually meeting you. I know it was at Deb's, and maybe was your plane late, or something? And I was all tired and like, "Hi, nicetomeetya, I'm going to bed because I'm on East Coast time." And then the next morning you had gotten up to run, and I mocked you for your vigorous energy as soon as you came back, and it was like we had always been friends.
