But, rather than slink off, I just wanted to say that I truly hope I didn't come off as dismissive or obnoxious. And I'll be thinking good thoughts for you this weekend.
You didn't! None of you have!
In my mind, "not dismissive" = "Tep, you do know you're crazy, right? Because you're gorgeous, stunning, effulgent, etc.," and "dismissive" = "Tep, that's ridiculous. Why would you even think something like that? Now, let me tell you all about what my cat did 2 minutes ago!"
It's not dismissive if you do more than just pooh-pooh it and blow it off.
You know, in my world of twisted etiquette.

Basically, you can think I'm crazy, even TELL me I'm crazy, as long as you pat my head and tell me I'm pretty afterward. (Though I prefer "stunning" or "gorgeous" or something similarly over-the-top.) (And I prefer it more if you can make me believe it.)
Teppy, I think your reaction is completely understandable. I also think that you're gorgeous and smart and witty and geeky in all the fun and glorious ways, and The Boy knows that. So, please try not to drive yourself insane with worrying.
Thank you for the birthday wishes, everyone! Pete just came back to the office to drop off a huge bouquet of roses for me! I *think* that was the surprise he was talking about. However, knowing him, probably not.
I like Teppy's twisted etiquette.
Jilli! Roses! Birthdays! So exciting!

I know! Plus today is Writer Freeze for our current deadline, which means all the writers are scrambling to obey me. That
always
makes me happy.
A picture from Wednesday night. The pink fabric I'm holding is a pair of pink tights that a friend decorated for me; she drew rows of the swirly bats from the GCS site onto the tights. They're *gorgeous*.
Oh, Jilli! You look amazing! And those tights sound fabulous. Keep them away from Joe.
