Zoe: Yeah? Thought you'd get land crazy that long in port. Wash: Probably, but I've been sane a long while now, and change is good.

Spike's Bitches 33: Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

He's going to take one look at her and wonder why he ever EVER thought I was a good idea.

I am calling bullshit too.

Which he proceeded not to do. He proceeded to continue to live in Cincy and fall in love with YOU.

What juliana said.

Teppy, the boy would be crazy to want to leave you for anyone else.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I think my reaction to a LEGENDARY ex coming in town is well within the limits of reason.

I understand the fear. Really, I do. But putting yourself down is seriously not reasonable. It is your body image demons and lizard brain ganging up on you... discomfort with the LEGENDARY near a slowly blooming relationship is totally, totally normal. Comparing yourself to her so negatively is NOT COOL.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Well, the "not having a kid" thing has got to be points in your favor.

I think my reaction to a LEGENDARY ex coming in town is well within the limits of reason.

It is. Just keep telling yourself "I give much better head, I give much better head, I give much better head."

She looks hot? "I give much better head"

She says something adorable? "I give much better head"

Everybody coos? "How nice that they adore her. Too bad they don't get to benefit from my SUPERIOR FELLATORY SKILLS"

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

It is within reason, Teppy, but that doesn't mean you get to put yourself down.

Lee - I finally finished the first one that you loaned me. (And I adored it. Thank you!) I should be mailing it (and your dvds) back to you soon.

No need to send the book back, if you know someone you can pass it to. Do you want the second one?

I'm not fishing for compliments, y'all. I think my reaction to a LEGENDARY ex coming in town is well within the limits of reason.

You have every right to have the reaction you're having, but as your friends, we have the right to reassure you that you are wrong.

Her daughter still sends him cards on Fathers' Day. And he has a picture of her daughter in his wallet. So, I dunno.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I think my reaction to a LEGENDARY ex coming in town is well within the limits of reason.

I understand this totally, but I also think us reassuring you is reasonable. Because you *are* smart and funny and awesome and pretty, even if you don't quite think that right now.

Alright, skip that first part then. Just go with the head.
