I feel very bad for her, and I know she is going to feel victimized, even though we have had literally hours of meetings on how to work with her and deal with her over the last few months. Feh.
Make sure that security is alerted to the situation and will have someone on standby. Seriously.
so sorry Robin
I need a label gun . Which DH has wanted forever. but now I need one . ( no , really I haven't been watching home organization shows. umm they were just in the background . really)
Oh, Robin, here's to it going smoothly. I'm sorry you have to go through that.
ummm.... there are police cars blocking my drive way...I think they are at my neighbor's house...
I was going to take a shower...
Are their lights flashing?
nope - and they are gone. I am guessing that either there was a problem with one of the people working on the house - or a permit problem - or maybe even a neighbor complaint. but still when any blokes my driveway I get a bit freaked
Ben got his report card, today, all A, A-, and B grades. Score one for the good guys.
I'm going to go be a breakfast temp tomorrow. Isn't one of the perks of a temp agency supposed to be work on short notice? Oh well.
I checked with my HR folks this afternoon before I left for some mental health time, and I'm entitled to three days of bereavement for immediate family, which MILs count as. If the funeral's on a weekday, I'm definitely using it, and I may take Friday if it's Saturday. The Puritan side of me says, "But you don't feel bereaved!" as the decadent part says, "Mini-vacation! Here's to you, Mom!"
Three days would be a god send if I was organizing things, of course, and karmically I don't think I'll abuse it. I've comforted myself by saying it'll look a little odd if I don't take one day after letting them know.
